The entire frame of the SED-680-6YDB-X is built using 304 food-grade stainless steel, featuring a relatively thick and strong structure with generous material input to guarantee long-lasting use. All electrical parts are procured from global vendors: the PLC controller, frequency converter, and display are supplied by Germany’s Siemens; air cylinders come from Airtac (Taiwan, China); Japan’s Tamagawa produces the servo motors; industrial-grade bearings are sourced from Japan’s NTN, Germany’s IBC, or Germany’s IGUS; France’s Schneider manufactures the switches; relays are provided by Japan’s Omron; and photoelectric sensors are delivered by Japan’s Panasonic. Though this pushes up the equipment’s manufacturing cost, it also results in a longer operational lifespan and higher overall quality.

In terms of the metering and discharging system (filling head), a special anti-leakage valve is installed in the discharging area to prevent material from dripping. Unlike other models on the market, this machine adds an extra group of film-pulling rollers for the film-pulling and bag-forming process—making the total number of roller sets two (one on top and one at the bottom). This two-set roller design holds the film more tightly, allows for steadier film pulling, and in the end, produces more neatly made packages.

The sealing component uses an all-mechanical drive (run by a motor), which provides better stability in both heating and sealing temperatures. On the other hand, most competitors adopt sealing systems driven by air cylinders. When handling liquid materials, air cylinder-based sealing may cause incomplete seals; besides, the sealing pressure of pneumatic systems is very sensitive to changes in air pressure, which lowers stability and makes malfunctions more likely. That said, it is important to note that the machine’s discharging and cutting knife systems do rely on air cylinder drives.

There are four different cutting knife options for customers to pick from: flat-edge knives, single-sided serrated knives, double-sided serrated knives, and rotary knives. The rotary knives are multi-functional—they can create flat edges, serrated edges, and connected bags, and connected bags are a patented product of our company. Usually, competitors only offer the first two types of knives, which makes the latter two types key competitive advantages of our equipment. All cutting knives used in our machines are imported from Japan, and they actually become sharper as they are used. In contrast, competitors use regular cutting knives that have to be replaced often.
